Every Day is an In-Between
God’s plan is for us to embrace our today. Our present time is a gift–or PRESENT (like how I did that?) .
We spend so much time longing for yesterday or anticipating tomorrow, that we make no room for today.
What good things do we miss because we don’t embrace our today?
The truth is, the in-between of our today make up the sum of our life. It molds us in to who we are and who we will be.
A Pattern of Disregarding the In-Betweens
I think we all do it. We know a ‘next season’ will come, so we disregard the one we are in now. We won’t allow ourselves to embrace today’s fullness because ‘its only temporary’.
- I disregarded my youth because I was longing for adulthood.
- My season as an independent and single woman was disregarded because I saw it as an in-between space that would end with marriage.
- I disregarded my early married life because I was waiting for when I became a parent.
The list goes on… See a pattern? When we do this, we miss the beauty that is meant for us during our PRESENT season.
Everything in Life on Earth is an In-Between Moment
Each season of our life on Earth is an in-between season. Our in-betweens do not end until we take our last breath and leave the limits of this earthly body. The only eternal season we will ever have begins at the death of our earthly body. That will be when we enter our eternal. At that point there will be no more ‘In-Betweens’.
Where Will You Spend Eternity?
God uses our in-between seasons to woo us to a relationship with Him. It is completely up to us whether we enter into that relationship or not. When our in-between in over and our eternal finally begins, where will you find yourself?
Did you accept the relationship Jesus offered you while in your in-between, or did you continue to reject or avoid Him?

Tammy, I love this! It is so important to soak up what we have been given now, it goes by so fast. God bless, and am glad to have found you over at Susan’s place on FB.
Thank you Meghan. The gifts of now are very important
This has been such a helpful series. So much THIS: “We spend so much time longing for yesterday or anticipating tomorrow, that we make no room for today.”
Thank you, Tammy. I needed to be reminded of this today. Love your heart!
