HOPE While Grieving?
I know that in the pit of dark grief, HOPE seems impossible. The idea that HOPE and PAIN can live simultaneously makes no sense, yet while living through a season of grief–HOPE is essential. The only source of true HOPE is through Jesus Christ.
Tonight was my first night of leading a grief support group. Each and every person wanted assurance of one thing–does HOPE really meet you in your sorrow and grief. They don’t want to unpackage their heartache without knowing there is a chance God will meet them there.
The truth is, “Yes, I fully believe and expect God to meet each of them in special ways, bring healing to their hearts and minds, and pierce the darkness if their grief with His HOPE.
It is something I cannot do. They cannot do it by themselves. No specialist or highly trained individual can provide what they need. BUT GOD CAN!
What do YOU need?
What is it that YOU need in your season of grief? Be honest and bold. Ask Jesus for that specific thing that seems completely impossible. Then close your eyes and picture Jesus looking at you with loving compassion.
He responds, “My dear sweet child. I know you are hurting and I know that there is no humanly way for this need to be met–but I have excellent news for you! The end of human abilities is the beginning of My Godly abilities, and with ME, NOTHING is impossible! Cling to HOPE and watch me move on your behalf!”
Dear God, I thank you that the end of human abilitiesĀ is just the beginning of YOUR’s. It seems impossible for me to have true and authentic HOPE in the midst of the darkness of grief. Please let me see Your light of HOPE piercing the darkness of grief. In Jesus’ name- Amen.

Amen. I believe in therapy and working out our issues but when we get to the end of ourselves, I’m thankful that’s not the end of what He can do.
It’s that the truth! Thanks for stopping by!
Hey gal, do you have a “landing page?”
Yes… sorry, I forgot to link this post to it.
So good… and true! We have friends who lead a Grief Share ministry in our town and the testimonies that come from that ministry of HOPE flooding in and coming alongside in healing are powerful and lasting!
Thanks for sharing! It is one of the most beautiful things to experience or watch… God is amazing and His HOPE does shatter the darkness.
